Any skaters who find themselves amongst the lonely mansions and shiny metal boxes of Gwinnett County, GA, might want to check out Tribble Mill Park as a little piece of heaven plus hills.

Here's a Google map link, which has not yet totally caught up to the progress of the 3+ mile woodsy trail within the park.

If you're not able to get to Stone Mountain, or a downtown APRR skate, this park gives you a couple of decent hills to do over and over for your hilly workout. Just watch out for pedestrian crossings on the main roadway hills. Pick the loop that doesn't have a downhill into a stop sign, unless you're practicing your braking.

The 3+ mile trail is beautiful. For a moment I was almost convinced I was in the mountains somewhere on a trail around a lake. So quiet! Most of the faster twisty turns have some visibility ahead to check for clothesline dog leashes or 3 year olds weaving on trikes. I've heard some of the speedies from Sparkles Lawrenceville go there to train.
