new TSA travel restrictions

With NYC 100k coming up soon, I thought I should check and see that the new travel restrictions are for carryon luggage...  It didn't take long to find the information on the TSA website...

Some interesting things that were on the list:

• gel deodorants are banned, but solid deodorants are okay
• gel shoe inserts are banned
• liquid soap is banned, solid bars are okay
• toothpaste, shampoo, and saline solution is banned
• suntan lotion is banned

• all beverages are banned
• camelbaks & water bottles must be empty
• "sport gels" are banned

So be sure to pack all that in your checked bag, as well as anything else resembling a liquid or gel...  No more travelling with just a carryon bag...
